My name is Chris Davis. I am currently an Industrial Engineering student at Texas Tech University. If I were to describe myself in one word, ambitious would definitely be it. I was fortunate enough to have parents who instilled in me the value of hard work and education and, through the years, I have benefited from the combination of the two.

Indeed, success begets success and I believe that my early achievements are the basis for the drive and determination that I have to this day. Of course, terms like ambition and success are subjective and differ from person to person. My goal is to provide information that will allow you to unlock those meanings for yourself.

This would not be TheAmbitionBlog without me actually sharing my ambitions, or goals in life. I often tell people that my dream job would be a General Manager for an NBA organization. Realizing that this is something that I want to accomplish, I am currently playing the chess game of life by acquiring the skill set that the position will require. Best of all, I am chasing the dream by following a path that is nontraditional and dictated by what is important to me.

Moreover, I want to establish myself as an entrepreneur. After acquiring my engineering degree, a law degree and business degree, I look to compound my formal education and real world experience to create a consulting firm. The service we will offer is simple in principle: we will help people with innovative ideas obtain patents to protect their intellectual property. Then we will assist the person either sell the idea to another party or help them start a business around their product or service.

This is why we are here. Created with the purpose of serving ambitious individuals who embody the entrepreneurial spirit, TheAmbitionBlog will cover a range of information. My goal is to develop the site into a resource for aspiring business leaders and successful business owners. I also want to highlight student business leaders and minority entrepreneurs. As I continue down the path towards business ownership, I will share my views and the knowledge that I acquire from wiser people.
